As a woman who is know 70 years young and have been in the boardrooms of companies across my country, I can attest to everything from being careful about what clothes, shoes, makeup and hair style to wear. From facial expressions and/or body language that could/would too often be interpreted the wrong way. I've fought off the wandering hands, lewd comments, snide comments, sexist remarks, sexual harassment, horrid gossip about how I 'worked my way to the top' and way too much 'touching' and 'grabbing'. It was not ok then and it is definitely NOT ok now, for any reason. It took many years and lots of experience to 'fight' back, not physically, but intelligently. I learned the Obama method of, when they go low, I go high. It took some practice, but eventually I mastered the method. I learned to stand tall and found my voice. It changed me. And I'm happy to say today, it changed me for the better. However, in no way is this sort of behavior by men toward women of any age, acceptable. Women have a voice and they must exercise it. Just because someone is in a position of authority, status, public notoriety, etc. does it give them a 'right' and/or permission to be rude, vulgar, criminal, abusive and/or a bully. Stupid, on the other hand, is a chosen path. Those who choose 'stupid' are accountable for their choice. Be careful what you choose.
